Backlink memiliki dua jenis yang perlu Anda ketahui. Yaitu link Dofollow dan Nofollow yang keduanya memiliki fungsi dan kegunaan masing-masing.

Salah satu faktor penting untuk mendapatkan peringkat pertama Google search adalah backlink. Banyak pemilik website atau blog yang berlomba-lomba untuk mendapatkan backlink dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan peringkat teratas di halaman hasil pencarian.

Backlink memiliki peranan tersendiri dalam teknik SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Secara sederhana bisa diartikan jika backlink ini menanamkan tautan atau link pada website orang lain.
